My first book

Posted by Victor Mikhalevski on January 4, 2013 at 8:25 AM

It has been a while since I last posted on my website. One of the reasons is that I was busy writing a book. Eventually the book is ready and will be out at the end of January.  You can find an exerpt from the book and/or purchase it here: http://www.qualitychess.co.uk/products/1/184/grandmaster_repertoire_13_-_the_open_spanish_by_victor_mikhalevski/

Enjoy!

not sure whether this site is actively monitored :-).

Just get your Open Spanish book, I have two questions:
1. in the Bibliography section, you did not mention another book in this area: "Open Ruy Lopez by Glenn Flear" - how do you think about that book?
2. in the 9. Nbd2, you did not mention 10. c3 g6, I know Korchnoi got crushed by Karpov 40 years ago; but Short played it again about 10 years, how Andrew Martin seems think that it is a ok from his The Open Ruy Lopez Chessbase DVD. How is theory in this variation? Did White find any improvement that he think it is unplayable for Black? (by the way, I always play 10...Bd7 so your book is perfect for me; I just curious).

Thanks
Stephen
